We believe that God’s principles are from the “good tree” which produce good fruit (Matt. 7:17-20). Good “fruit” in Scripture is characterized by godly living which is explained for us in Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” God would have us eat from the good tree and thus yield good (Spiritual) fruit; therefore.

• All aspect of the school must be kept in line with Biblical principles

• The Bible contains the real and effective basis for education and should be used as the centerpiece of education

We believe that true education begins with the awareness of God and His will for our lives; therefore,

• We seek to ensure that each child has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; and

• We teach the Word of God as a foundation for our lives.

We believe a child can best learn in a setting of grace and truth; therefore, we stress relationship with our Lord and Savior, which transforms the heart rather than merely the outward appearance.

We believe that wisdom is a higher goal than knowledge; therefore,

• We stress comprehension and perspective rather than accumulation of knowledge;

• We also stress application

We believe that a desire for learning as well as “teachability” are character traits

• We desire this for our instructors as well as students; therefore

• We look for teachers who have joyfulness in teaching

• We look to provide an open and cheerful atmosphere for learning; and

• We emphasize the encouragement of students upon completion of tasks and growth

We believe that we are to be in this world but not of it (Rom.12:2, 1 John 2:15-17) therefore,

• We believe there is a proper way to introduce secular ideas and thinking (Biblical worldview); and

• We see a responsibility to train and prepare a child for entry into the world around him/her

We believe that the primary function of our school is to help parents facilitate the education and training of their children from a Biblical worldview perspective; therefore,

• We believe the function of our school is to build a knowledge basis in the areas of history, language, geography, reading, composition, communication, mathematics, science, and culture, as they relate to life.

• We see our ministry as one of support for the family,

• We see that the function of discipline is primarily a responsibility of parents
